Chicago, IL - Local blogger, Humor Hero, and embattled, Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich, were detained by police after an altercation in a Chicago Supercuts. The unpopular humorist reportedly sought to commiserate with Blagojevich, also unpopular, in light of the governor's pending impeachment."One minute we were making idle barbershop chit-chat. The next minute he's trying to shake me down for my Skittles. I'm not even sure what I was supposed to be paying him for, but when I refused it got ugly," said Hero.
That's when Rod's legendary "do" took matters into its own hands. According to Hero's account of the incident, Rod's sans-toupée pulled the governor out of his chair and wrapped itself around Hero's throat.
"I did what anyone being attacked by a full head of Slavic hair would do. Fought back with scissors."
When it was over, Blagojevich was momentarily left with bare patches on his head. But the hair inexplicably reappeared in a matter of seconds.
"I don't know if it was more shocking that he was getting a hair cut or how fast it grew back, said Hero.
Blagojevich could not be reached for comment, but issued the following public statement:
"My encounter with Mr. Hero was like that of two old friends. I trust that the ensuing investigation will reveal the facts about our interaction and my completely natural follicles. I only ask that the millions of Illinois citizens who support me would reserve judgment until the necessary police work is completed. And remember, I brought you I-Pass. My name is on the signs for it, for God's sake."
Hero is recovering from the altercation in his suburban home and asserted that the incident wouldn't change his views of the governor. "He did bring us I-Pass," said Hero, who expects to continue his work as an unpopular humorist in late January.
